The Circuit Court Two in Cape Coast has sentenced a man identified as Samuel Armah, also known as Kofi Nyan, to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour for defilement.
According to a press release from the Ghana Police Service, the case was heard on October 28, 2025, and presided over by Her Honour Nana Aba Quiba Nunoo. The offence took place on October 16, 2025, in Apam, located in the Central Region.

During the court proceedings, Samuel Armah pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement. Following his plea, the court convicted him and sentenced him to ten years in prison with hard labour.

The police confirmed that the convict has since been transferred to Ankaful Prison, where he will begin serving his sentence.
The Ghana Police Service reiterated its commitment to ensuring justice for victims of sexual abuse and advised the public to report similar cases promptly to the nearest police station for swift action.
