The Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly is expected to approve its 2026 budget today during its annual general meeting at the assembly hall in Wasa Akropong.
Information gathered by Preko News indicates that the assembly members are meeting to discuss and adopt the financial plan that will guide development activities for the municipality in the coming year.
Although details of the budget have not been disclosed, it is expected to focus on key areas such as infrastructure, education, health, sanitation, and local economic development.
When Preko News contacted the Presiding Member, Hon. George Amoah, by phone, he only hinted that the assembly would pass the 2026 budget today but did not go into further details.
Residents are hopeful that the new budget will address pressing issues in the municipality and support projects that will improve living conditions and create more opportunities for the youth.
