The Municipal Chief Executive for Wasa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring a clean and healthy environment in the municipality.

As part of the National Sanitation Day activities, Hon. Ebbah led the Wasa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, the Wasa Amenfi Traditional Council, personnel from various security services, youth groups, and religious bodies to carry out a massive clean-up exercise at Wasa Japa.
The exercise, which forms part of the nationwide campaign to promote good sanitation practices, saw enthusiastic participation from residents and stakeholders who worked together to clean public spaces, gutters, and streets.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Ebbah emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the community. He noted that sanitation is a shared responsibility and urged every citizen to play an active role in keeping their surroundings clean.
> “As I have always said, every constituent must take responsibility for ensuring a clean environment. A healthy community begins with a clean environment worth living in,” he stated.
Hon. Ebbah also commended all partners and participants for their cooperation and dedication to the cause. He encouraged residents to continue such efforts regularly, not only on National Sanitation Day, but as part of their daily lifestyle.

The exercise ended successfully, leaving the community cleaner and reinforcing the collective resolve to make Wasa Amenfi East a model district in sanitation.
