The shocking moment left players and fans in panic, but thanks to the quick and heroic actions of match officials, tragedy was averted.
Officials from the Sekondi Naval Base and Air Force Base Takoradi immediately rushed to the player’s aid. They performed CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for more than ten minutes before the player was rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
Their timely intervention has been widely praised by the football community and the public for saving the player’s life.
