The Ghana Gold Board, in collaboration with the Wasa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly, is set to bless the people of Wasa Akropong with a series of massive development projects in key sectors such as health, youth empowerment, education, and water.
According to investigations by Preko News, Wasa Akropong has been selected among several mining communities across the country to benefit from this major initiative. The Gold Board made this decision in recognition of the significant contribution the town’s responsible miners make to Ghana’s gold production and economic growth.
Reliable sources confirm that the Gold Board is partnering directly with the Municipal Assembly to carry out these projects. This initiative, however, is not a result of lobbying by any Member of Parliament, but rather a strategic effort by the central government and the Gold Board to invest in communities that play a vital role in the nation’s mining sector.
The development package aims to improve living standards, provide better healthcare facilities, enhance educational infrastructure, create youth employment opportunities, and ensure access to clean and safe water for residents of Wasa Akropong.
This move by the Gold Board is also seen as a way of honoring and appreciating mining communities that have contributed immensely to Ghana’s economy through responsible mining practices.
Preko News will continue to follow this story and provide updates as the projects progress.
