The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Wasa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, has begun the construction of a new bypass road in Wasa Akropong. The road will connect the District Assembly area, Boakyewaa Hotel, and Adesu.
The project is expected to reduce the heavy traffic that affects the town, especially on market days such as Thursdays, when movement becomes very slow.
According to Nicholas Mensah Agyemang, the Municipal Engineer, the bypass is an important initiative from the MCE to improve transportation in the municipality. He explained that once the road is completed, it will help solve the long-standing traffic challenges in Wasa Akropong and make movement easier for residents and visitors.
Residents have welcomed the project and expressed hope that it will bring relief to road users and support economic activities within the municipality.
