The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has urged Ghanaians to be alert and watch out for what he describes as attempts by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to spread propaganda against the government’s Nkokɔ Nketenkete Project.
Speaking in a media interaction, Dr. Amoakohene claimed that the NPP may try to create false impressions that the project has failed. According to him, the party could even go as far as buying chickens, killing them, and presenting them as evidence that the poultry initiative did not succeed.
“I Know the NPP and What They Can Do” — Dr. Amoakohene
The Minister said he is familiar with the NPP’s tactics and warned Ghanaians not to fall for any deceptive acts or fabricated stories.
“I know the NPP and how diabolic they can be,” he said. “They can go and buy chickens and kill them just to create the impression that the Nkokɔ Nketenkete project has failed.”
Digital Tools Make Fact-Checking Easier
Dr. Amoakohene added that in today’s digital world, it is easy for citizens to verify information for themselves. He encouraged the public to rely on facts and evidence rather than propaganda or staged incidents.
About the Nkokɔ Nketenkete Project
The Nkokɔ Nketenkete Project is one of the government’s major agricultural initiatives aimed at supporting Ghanaian poultry farmers. The programme helps farmers and interested citizens raise local birds to reduce the importation of frozen chicken and cut production costs.
Dr. Amoakohene said the project is designed to boost local poultry production, create jobs, and strengthen Ghana’s food security.
He called on Ghanaians to support the initiative and reject any attempts to undermine its progress.
