Three Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) from the Wassa Amenfi area have come together to support preparations for this year’s Adim Kɛseɛ Festival, one of the most important traditional celebrations of the Wassa people.
The donation team was led by the Amenfi East Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah (ObiaaBedidi). He was joined by:
Hon. Priscilla Yorke, MCE for Amenfi West
Hon. Peter Amponsah, DCE for Amenfi Central
Items Donated
The three leaders presented several items to the Wassa Amenfi Traditional Council to help with the upcoming festival. The items included:
30 packs of bottled water
10 bags of rice
Gallons of cooking oil
3 boxes of cashier drinks
2 bottles of schnapps
1 big cow
Traditional Council Shows Appreciation
The items were received on behalf of the Traditional Council by Nana Ntori Bonkyi Akomea, Chief of Nkwanta Kɛseɛ.
He thanked the MMDCEs for their support and said the donation would help make this year’s Adim Kɛseɛ Festival successful. Nana Ntori also praised the unity shown by the three assemblies and urged both political and traditional leaders to continue working together.
Commitment to Culture and Unity
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah said the three Wassa Amenfi Assemblies are committed to supporting the cultural heritage of the area.
He noted that festivals like Adim Kɛseɛ help promote unity, development, and the identity of the Wassa people. According to him, the assemblies will continue to work together with the Traditional Council to preserve and strengthen the culture of the land.
