The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea, has issued a strong warning to NPP delegates, urging them to choose a leader who will uphold dignity and discipline on the international stage.
Speaking to delegates, Atta Akyea said the party must avoid electing someone who could embarrass Ghana at major global platforms such as the United Nations.
> “We don’t like a President who will go to a UN meeting and say mother-fuck,” he said firmly.
According to him, leadership is not only about popularity but also about character, respect, and the ability to represent Ghana honourably among world leaders. Atta Akyea stressed that the NPP needs a flagbearer who can inspire confidence locally and internationally.
He added that delegates must think carefully about Ghana’s image and choose a leader who embodies decency, diplomacy, and credibility — not someone whose words could damage the country’s reputation.
