The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Wasa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, has announced his firm commitment to build a mini stadium and a modern market for the people of Wasa Akropong.
According to the MCE, the two projects are part of the central government’s plan to support every district with funds for developmental projects that will improve the lives of the people.
Speaking to the media, Hon. Ebbah explained that the mini stadium will provide a proper venue for football teams and players across Wasa Akropong and the entire Amenfi East Municipality to train and host tournaments. He believes this will help promote sports development and youth engagement in the area.
“The mini stadium will not only benefit football teams but also bring unity and excitement to the youth. We want to give them a place they can proudly call their own,” he said.
On the new market project, Hon. Ebbah stated that it will provide traders with a safe and organized place to do business. He added that the new market will boost economic activity and improve sanitation within the town.
“Our hardworking traders deserve a clean and well-structured market to sell their goods. This will also attract more business to Wasa Akropong and create jobs for our people,” he emphasized.
Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah assured residents that the assembly will ensure transparency and quality in the execution of both projects. He also called on community members to support and cooperate with the assembly to make the projects a success.
The announcement has been warmly received by residents, who see it as a step forward in the development of Wasa Akropong and the entire Wasa Amenfi East Municipality.
