The Presiding Member of the Wasa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly, Hon. George Amoah, has revealed that the first phase of the Wasa Akropong Mini Stadium project has been captured in the 2026 Municipal Budget.
Speaking to the media after the Assembly’s Annual General Meeting held on Thursday, 30th October 2025, Hon. Amoah stated that the Assembly has officially approved the 2026 budget, which includes funding for the mini stadium project.
He explained that the construction of the mini stadium will play a key role in promoting sports development in Wasa Akropong and surrounding communities. According to him, the facility will provide a standard venue for football matches, athletic events, and other community sporting activities.
Hon. Amoah added that the Assembly is committed to ensuring that the project begins as planned and is completed on time to serve the youth and the entire municipality.
