Former Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomeah, has praised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for its effective management of the cedi against the US dollar.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show, Nana Akomeah said he is impressed by how the cedi has gained strength in recent weeks. According to him, the NDC deserves commendation for maintaining stability in the economy.
“I like what I’m seeing. The cedi is doing well, and the NDC deserves commendation for continuing some of the good measures the NPP introduced before leaving power,” he said.
Nana Akomeah explained that the NPP government had earlier implemented strong economic measures to stabilize the local currency. He added that it is good to see the current administration continue with those efforts to achieve positive results.
He noted that the improvement in the cedi’s performance is a sign that consistent economic management policies can benefit the country regardless of which party is in government.
