Some market women at the Wasa Akropong Market have commended the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Wasa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, also known as Obiabedidi, for taking bold steps to address the long-standing flooding problem at the market.
For several years, traders at the market have suffered from heavy flooding anytime it rains, damaging goods and disrupting business activities. However, under the leadership of Hon. Ebbah, the Assembly has started constructing proper drainage systems within the market to help direct rainwater into the main gutters.
According to the traders, the project has already made a visible difference by reducing the level of stagnant water after rainfall. They praised the MCE for paying attention to their concerns and for working to make the market environment cleaner and safer.
Some of the market women also appealed to Hon. Ebbah to ensure that the drainage construction is completed on time to permanently solve the problem of flooding and improve trading conditions.
They expressed their confidence in the MCE’s leadership, saying his ongoing developmental projects show his commitment to making Wasa Akropong a better place for business and community growth.
