A heated verbal clash has erupted within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the party’s Deputy Communications Officer, Owusu Bempah, popularly known as Aboa Apapo, has launched strong accusations against the Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye.
In a video sighted by Prekonews.com, Owusu Bempah claimed that he was the one who first introduced Abronye to a radio programme, helping to give him public exposure. However, he expressed disappointment that today, Abronye has gained the confidence to insult him publicly.
Owusu Bempah went further to allege that at one point, when Abronye sat in his car, his armpits were smelling, a comment he used to emphasize his displeasure and to mock the Bono Regional Chairman. He stressed that Abronye “is not his size” and insisted that he would not waste his time giving him any further attention.
The remarks have sparked reactions among supporters of the party, with many calling for calm and unity as the NPP prepares for crucial political activities ahead.
For now, both party officials are yet to officially address the matter, but the internal tension continues to draw public attention.
