The Ghana Police Service has taken note of circulating rumours claiming that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has passed away. The Service wishes to state clearly and unequivocally that these reports are false.
The IGP is alive, healthy, and fully performing his official duties.
We urge all police officers, family members, loved ones, and the general public to disregard these baseless claims.
The Police Service also cautions individuals behind these malicious and irresponsible rumours to desist immediately. Spreading false information is an offense, and anyone found responsible will face the law.
