The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Wasa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, together with staff of the Municipal Assembly and some NPP constituency executives, has cut sod for the construction of two new CHPS compounds at Wasa Dawurampong and Wasa Jukwaa-Hemang.
During the sod-cutting ceremony, Hon. Ebbah explained that the project is part of government’s plan to expand healthcare access in rural areas. He added that the initiative is also a reflection of the community’s support in past elections, noting that former President John Dramani Mahama is committed to ensuring development reaches all parts of the country.
According to him, the two communities are receiving their fair share of the “national cake” because the government believes in equitable development.
The contractor awarded the project assured the MCE and his team that construction will begin immediately and will be completed early. He promised to deliver quality work that meets the standard required for a modern CHPS compound.
The new facilities, when completed, will help reduce the distance residents travel to access basic healthcare services.
