Madam Angela Ahimah, wife of the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, has donated 3,000 crates of eggs to support schools and a hospital within the municipality.
The donation, made under her Obantapa Foundation initiative, benefited 64 basic schools under the School Feeding Programme, Amenfiman Senior High School, and the Wassa Akropong Government Hospital.
The gesture forms part of the Foundation’s “Obantapa Feeds the Schools” project, which seeks to promote good nutrition and support children’s health through regular supply of eggs to schools and other institutions.
Speaking to the media after the presentation, Madam Angela Ahimah said the donation was inspired by her desire to see school children eat more nutritious meals.
> “Eggs are rich in nutrients and very good for children’s growth and overall health. I believe this support will help them enjoy healthier meals under the school feeding programme,” she said.
Mr. Francis Addo, the School Feeding Desk Officer for Wassa Amenfi East, expressed appreciation to Madam Ahimah for her kind gesture. He assured her that the eggs would be used for their intended purpose and reach all the beneficiary schools.
Mr. Isaac Kwasi Mickson, Headmaster of Amenfiman Senior High School, also commended Madam Ahimah for her timely support, describing the donation as a great relief for the school at a time when food supply has been a challenge.
Madam Angela’s Obantapa Foundation continues to make a positive impact in the Amenfi East Municipality through charitable activities that promote education, health, and community welfare.
